As we read through the Bible we discover that: There is one true God (Isaiah 45v5; Deuteronomy 6v4; 1Timothy 2v5) God is a spirit (John 4v24) There are 3 Persons in the Godhead - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - one God and yet three Persons. (Matthew 3v16+17; 28v19; 2Corinthians 13v14) The Father is called God (Romans 1v7); the Son is called God (Hebrews 1v8); the Holy Spirit is called God (Acts 5v3+4). God is Eternal. Deuteronomy 33v27; Psalm 90v2; 1Timothy 1v17 God is Omnipotent (All-powerful). Jeremiah 32v17+27; Matthew 19v26 God is Omniscient (All-knowing). Isaiah 40v28; Proverbs 15v3; John 21v17 God is Omnipresent (Present everywhere). Psalm 139v7; Jeremiah 23v24 God is Unchangeable. Malachi 3v6; Hebrews 13v8 The one true God is Sovereign and infinitely greater than man. 1Chronicles 29v11; Daniel 4v35 |
