Godliness

Godliness simply means to be like God.

How can Christians live godly lives?

Psalm 4v3 - A godly person is set apart:

  • From sin and is grieved by sin (1 Timothy 6v11; Titus 2v12)

  • In prayer (1 Timothy 2v1-2)

  • In doctrine (1 Timothy 6v3)

  • In worship (2 Corinthians 6v14-18)

  • In service i.e. work for God (Hebrews 12v28)

  • In persecution (2 Timothy 3v12 BUT 2 Peter 2v9)

  • In contentment (1 Timothy 6v5-6)

Christ's second coming should encourage us to live godly lives every day (2 Peter 3v10-11)

Be Ready - Live Godly! We do not know when Christ will come again.
