What does the Bible say? 1. Know God
The apostle Paul exclaimed, "that I may know Him" (Philippians 3v10).
Paul was a devoutly religious Jew but when God saved him he had this consuming desire to know Christ (Philippians 3v4-11).
Knowing God is NOT merely knowing the stories, the facts, and believing them to be true - it is knowing God as a living reality in your life every day. It will inspire you to live for Him.
We are to increase in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1v10; 2Peter 3v18) 2. Know God's Word
2 Timothy 2v15; 3v15-17
To stand for God and live for God we MUST know God's ways. Read the Bible and pray every day.
May our daily prayer be: "Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law." (Psalm 119v18) Warnings concerning Knowledge
